Coffee log #5

32g, 20oz, 1.6g/oz, 4min

Yesterday when I only made 25g/16oz it wasn’t enough and I ended up brewing chemex later. So today I went with the seemingly best numbers–but I’ve upped the steep time by a minute. I’m sure that’s not long enough to make it bitter, hopefully it is long enough to pull out some hidden flavors.



Honestly I can’t tell much difference from the three minute steep. It might be that these beans aren’t that good. It’s kind of got a blend of several mostly indistinguishable earthy flavors. Maybe cinnamon?

I’m almost out of Yukon. In a few days should I switch to Colombia Nariño or Brezza? I’ve both before fairly recently, but haven’t made a study of it.
